Hi everyone! Since I have a new PC, I have so many freezes and crashes of cubase 13, I literally can not work. Here are the latest crash dumps, maybe someone has an idea:
Also I have still this Graphic issue that isn’t resolved:
I am using Cubase 13; win11 pro; an apollo twin usb; an komplete kontrol midi keyboard and this is my whole setup:
Mainboard: GIGABYTE Z890 EAGLE WIFI7
CPU: Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 285K
GPU: Gainward GeForce RTX 5060 Ghost 8GB
RAM: 96 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 48 GB, Kingston FURY)
Storage:
1 TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD
2 TB SAMSUNG 990 EVO Plus SSD
Cooling: be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 360mm (AIO Liquid Cooler)
Software and drivers are all up to date.
Hope anyone can help me with this, I have some deadlines soon and I am starting to panic:)
I was going to have a look at some of your dumps but I’m not signing into dropbox to do it. Use WeTransfer or similar - something which requires no signon.

the oldest freezedump listed Trillian.dll as the failure point
I’m not an expert on interpreting any of these, but if I saw this on my machine, I’d run tests to check the RAM and tests to check the SSDs.
Also maybe start with a new Cubase Preferences file, just in case that is causing this apparently wide variety of crashes and freezes.
DropBox download worked for me without signing in.
Don’t worry about WeTransfer, as @Nico5 pointed out, it was my oversight.
The errors you’re getting are too random to point to a single issue in Cubase or any one plugin. It looks like some system instability going on somewhere.
Ok, so I checked RAM with mdshed exe, the SSDs with samsung magician, and ran an sfc /scannow. All seems to be fine apparently. That took a while, sorry! How do I start with a new preference file? Do I just have to delete it somewhere?
There’s another thing that might be worth doing. I’ve seen it mentioned from time to time over the last little while as a potential solution to several music software mystery issues:
Manually update the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries that are widely used by Cubase and many plugins.
To the best of my knowledge there’s no downside to doing so.
Maybe even do both the 64 bit and the 32 bit versions, just in case there’s some component or other that uses 32 bit code even while Cubase itself is 64 bit.
Hey, this helped with some of the crashes. I am experiencing less since updating. There seem to be a lot of different issues, the major one has to do with my GPU and nothing helped so far unfortunately. Support is suggesting a fresh OS installation.
Still I wanted to thank you for this great tip, and to anyone with similar problems, this could be the solution:)
