Every app that runs on a Mac can use the trackpad for zooming in and out except Cubase 13? Any reason for this or am I missing something?
Hi,
You are not missing anything. This doesnæt work in Cubase.
Yeah, I know it doesn’t work on Cubase 13 It’s that old British not so subtle (but maybe too subtle) sarcasm aimed at Steinberg to enable what is a very natural thing to do on a Mac…zoom in with two fingers. I’m expecting the usual Steinberg silence though on this.
Adding to your sarcasm, there is an established open source tool to add this exact feature to Cubase on macOS, that is deliberately MIT-licenced to explicitly allow Steinberg to use its code or even just ship it with Cubase, reducing the required implementation effort for them to an absolut minimum. Probably needless to clarify that I’m the author of said tool and also did not get any response to various attempts to advertise this (non-profit) proposal to Steinberg. I even went so far to apply for an open vacancy at Steinberg (for a not UI related position), acutally got invited to an interview, but sadly had no luck to succesfully promote myself or this project. The devs I talked to were pretty kind though
