Making The Gradual Tempo Markings Abbreviated by Default

Hi Everyone,

Was wondering how to make the gradual tempo markings like Rallentando, Ritardando… abbreviated by default. Instead of having to go to the lower panel every time.

Hi @NicolasJC,

if, in the tempo popover, you write for example rall. (or rit. or ritard.) it will be automatically written so:

You can then decide how it should globally display (if you for example never want the line):

Man… I don’t know why i assumed that if its not in the suggested options in the popover when i wrote rit. that it wont do anything…

That’s understandable, because popovers do ignore input they can’t parse, and each popover has its own allowed syntax. But yes, the tempo popover will accept more arbitrary strings than other popovers.

You can actually abbreviate the tempo markings by typing them directly in the tempo popover.
