Thanks for looking at this @Armand
Agreed… thanks @Armand for your/SB attention and responding back here. Good support.!
Hello. Thanks! So it will be fixed in GA5 as well?
The problem is known to both the MediaBay and GA teams. I cannot announce anything for now besides this.
OK, thanks you very much. Waiting the fix then…
Thanks for your response but let’s be honest a new shiny media bay that was also added to GA and Halion that does not see midi files is quite a big thing to get missed on release… It’s literally one of the main tasks of a media bay.
We found and fixed the bug, it’s ready for testing and will be released in an extra MediaBay 1.1.40 release very soon.
Thank you! Will be happy to try and see all works
Great news and thanks!
Just some added information.
Mediabay is also not hiding folders >
Nor is it finding new user audio as well.
I believe you are aware as well but for years I believe there is an issue with mediabay not playing files in the right time?
Just a quick reply … from the screenshot I see Folders in the Media Rack which is ok (see the deep search by toggling “Show/Hide Attribute Filters”) … The MediaBay Window is not showing folders because the button “Include Folders and Subfolders” (formerly known as “deep Search” is active. (Little misleading name, as folders are not displayed, only the media IN those folders and subfolders).
Then I see orange folders, that means some sub folders in there have not been completely scanned / scanning was interrupted. Investigations on that are pending, I realised that happened sometimes, but do not have a repro (scanning a server volume + network interruptions, could be an explanation though) …
To get the stuff fully scanned (without rescanning the whole directory) browse into the orange (“partially scanned”) folders and look for the yellow ones (“not scanned”), uncheck and check them again, so scanning will continue.
Hope that helped, I’ll point our tester to this thread for checking the audio files with our 1.1.40 update thats in inhouse test.
Please consider a new thread for issues not yet discussed. Thanks & Cheers, Jörg.
Any news on when the update is going to be released this is really holding up my production productivity workflow
The update will be released when it’s ready, just as ever.
