Cubase 15 Pro will not save midi remote mapping Cubase

Problem: Cubase 15 Pro does not save my Midi Remote mapping. I have to remap everything when I re-open Cubase after using Cubase with or without the keyboard. I purchased a M-Audio Oxygen Pro 49 before buying Cubase but I’m not certain that the Midi Controller is the source of the problem. I am not pleased with the M-Audio’s compatibility with Cubase and its confusing workflow (and “doesn’t-work” flow) but that is another story.
