Missing Kits in Groove Agent 5.2.30

Hi Peeps,

Quite literally overnight, the kits I’ve installed and used frequently disappeared from the Load Panel. When I go to load a kit, all I get is a list of all the kit presets:

I checked the Library Manager (and the Cubase MediaBay) and all the kits are there and it shows they were installed correctly:

I’ve had a look at some of the existing topics that are similar, but they haven’t been particularly useful. I don’t understand how a VSTi that I’ve used without a single issue for years across several Cubase versions changes its behaviour like this.

Has anyone else encountered this issue recently? If you have, were you able to find a fix? Any and all suggestions will be gratefully accepted!

I have the same problem, the library in groove agent is hide ! :frowning: . but the are the kits in groove agent SE

What happens when you click on the blue rectangle with “All” in it?

If everything is working properly that rectangle is a toggle to switch between a Kit list and a preset list.

I have the same issue on Mac as well!!! How to fix this bug?

Mac M4 user here. Same crap. Just a menu of text - all the kit icons and selections are gone. Help. Me. TECH SUPPORT!?! TECH SUPPORT?!?!? [Having a Vanilla Sky moment.]

I am also on m4. But the problem is not with their new classic collection. I don’t installed it. Just installed Halion 7.5. And have this issue… I also hope for the help. It’s so strange that now we can’t work more. Come one, Steinberg!

Just adding my +1 to this issue - all my kits are missing.

Windows 11, never had issues with GA before, just noticed everything is botched while getting ready for some sessions later this week! This is some bad timing!

Indeed. Sometimes (especially in the moments like this) I want to switch to another DAW. I really like Cubase. But it’s not the first time when Steinberg broken something and you can’t work…

Glad I’m not on a tight schedule with a serious project needing to go out tomorrow. That could get expensive.

What I meant is that somehow by moving things around on their server for this Anniversary giveaway to everyone, they created a situation that affects our personal sound libraries. Doesn’t make much sense…but who knows how it all works behind the scenes.

I really hope that Steinberg provide their explanations regarding this unpleasant situation as soon as possible.

Hi guys,

Unfortunately, I can’t reproduce the issue here. By clicking on “All” you should be able to switch between library-icon-view and the list of presets. Did you already try? What happens by clicking the “All” icon?

Check the video please. I was purchased so many libraries for Groove Agent and nothing here.. So when I click ALL -no other libraries…

@Alexander_D Please try the following:

• Close all programs.

• Open the “Run” command by pressing the Windows logo key + R.

• In the “Run” window, type the following path: AppData.

• Navigate to the folder: Local\Steinberg.

• Locate the folders: “MediaServices,” “Steinberg MediaLib,” and “Steinberg MediaBay Server.”

• Rename all these folders (e.g., to “x_Steinberg MediaBay Server”) to hide them.

The next time you start the program, new folders with fresh preference files will be created, which often resolves the issue.

Please recreate the preferences of the MediaBay. To do this, click on “Go” in the Finder menu. Press the “Option” key on your keyboard while the menu is open. This adds the “Library” entry, which can now be selected. In the Library, open the “Preferences” folder.

Now rename the folders “Steinberg MediaBay Server” and “Steinberg MediaLib” under “/Users//Library/Preferences/” as follows:

“x_Steinberg MediaLib”

“x_Steinberg MediaBay Server”

Upon the next program start, these folders will be recreated, which often resolves the issue.

@Jan_Riesener I was tried once again this method. So it doesn’t work. The same problem and the problem is here in Groove Agent 5
