Hello, I’m currently running Cubase 14 Artist and using a MOXF8 as a MIDI controller. I’m not using a USB connection between the MOXF8 and Cubase as I’ve had issues with the USB driver (long story) and I am now using a Behringer USB IV as my A/D Audio device. The problem I’m having is that the middle portion of the keyboard opens various windows in the program in addition to playing notes (opening “add tracks” or a pool window). Can anyone tell me how to turn off this behavior, and just have the keyboard trigger notes, and not open various windows in the program? I appreciate any help with this. Thank you.
I use a Motif xs7. You need to make sure it’s set up correctly in studio setup. Go ahead and use search in the forum, there should be threads about this.
Also, I had issues figuring out how to use the keyboard to it’s fullest potential until I tried enabling remote on on the keyboard itself. Now it maps itself when I use it via usb.
Something to consider.

Thanks Seebas, I’ll keep at it.
Thanks again Seebas for your suggestions. I figured it out. I still had the MOXF8 listed under the Remote Devices section of Studio Setup from when I was previously connected to Cubase via USB. Now that I’m using an external A/D Audio device (Behringer USB IV) I no longer needed that setting. Once I removed that entry everything worked fine. Cheers, Dave
