Why did you push a broken update, act like it actually was properly beta tested when it wasn’t, then push a hotfix that broke more things, and THEN mark everyone’s problems as SOLVED with ZERO INPUT? Then go on vacation???
This is really ugly. Now nobody can look at the forum and see what’s wrong or right. Y’all are doing shady service. You can’t even edit your post after the fact to say it’s not solved. What are y’all doing?

Do you know the time of the year?
“Then go on vacation???”
yeah man i know what time of year it is, a really bad time of year to break a bunch of stuff when you’re a global leader in a product, and the entire world doesn’t celebrate xmas or new years.
Christmas break doesn’t have anything to do with marking everything as solved and going on vacation. Didn’t have to act like they fixed everything without ANY input at all.

What stuff is actually ‘super broken’ without there being a working work-around?
It’s worth to remember that ‘tablets’ are primarily touch first devices not ‘laptop substitutes’ and bluetooth is practically worth-less for real-time audio…
Just about the only thing for me personally that is ‘broken’ is the Trim function when trimming audio-events that belong to one audio-file that has been split into multiple events.
Also the ‘Trim’ issues are NOT related to 3.8 or 3.8.1 but have been like that since more or less forever…

Do you have something personal against Steinberg? Given your frequent and often unfounded criticisms and the way you express them, one has to wonder.

Hi @Goldiblockz,
Happy New Year 2026!
Please provide the exact details of the problems you’re encountering with the current Cubasis version, so we can check if they can be addressed in Cubasis 3.8.2 - as we already did for many user-reported issues in Cubasis 3.8.1.
Without specific details, there’s nothing we can do to help.
Also, please make sure to keep your feedback friendly - last reminder.
Best regards,
Lars

The personal part is being frustrated that I was looking forward to making music on CB3 from the start of the year, to the end of the year. Only come to find a flaming trash can on my iPad that I cannot revert from. The personal frustration is expecting a .1 release to be more performant and stable than the one before it.
My frustration would be aimed at any degradation in the programs I use every day. None of the other iOS hosts I use break like this for official releases. I quit using the professional desktop photo editing software I bought a license for 5 years ago, because they quit providing for me as a customer and the software runs worse than the day I bought it.
I’m not alone in using the tools that work for me and respect my time and money, or in my frustrations being displayed outwardly on this forum. I can link you to other people being outraged at the state of this app currently if you really wish, but you should just read the threads here. Nobody is happy with this update.
I’m also personally frustrated with the way response has been handled and lack of clarity regarding underlying framework changes. Lars is only one guy though, I’m not trying to shoot the messenger when he can’t fix it. I’m frustrated there’s previously been no testflight beta and that we’re the actual beta test team.

You are getting details in plenty of threads. I have not even used 3.8.1 for more than an hour because my previous issues from 3.8 have not been fixed. AU windows are still blank until restart, pencil is still broken, midi recording still wonky. Then it was marked as solved without any input.
I’m a beta tester for other programs, this app is supposed to be stable and is nothing but. I am not personally attacking you on this forum and am aiming my frustrations at the program/app/policies at play here. Where am I required to be your friend? I feel I’m conducting myself pretty respectfully as someone that is not getting paid to talk.
“Please treat this discussion forum with the same respect you would a public park.” Pulled from the FAQ/Rules.
If a park ranger came up to me at a national park and just start pulling flowers up out of the ground silently without saying anything, I’m going to bark at them. Take better care of your park.
Hi @Goldiblockz,
We are aware that Cubasis 3.8 created issues for some of our users, which we partly addressed with the release of Cubasis 3.8.1 shortly after on Dec 23, 2025.
Cubasis 3.8.2 is in preparation focussing on resolving further user-reported problems.
To have your issues checked as well, please provide your iPad model, iPadOS version, and a brief list of the exact issues you’re encountering (short headlines are fine for now).
Best,
Lars
