We’re excited to announce the immediate release of Cubasis 3.8.1 for iOS and Android!
This update addresses the most critical issues reported by users following the Cubasis 3.8 release. We hope this update resolves your initial problems and enhances your experience with Cubasis.
Have a Merry Christmas and a happy andhealthy New Year 2026!
Thank you for your continued support and feedback.
WHY were so many bugs introduced in a .1 update, when the previous version was so solid? Makes no sense at all.
With Cubasis 3.8, the underlying framework was upgraded to improve long-term stability and performance, while enabling new iOS features such as windowed mode and external display support, as well as fulfilling the latest Android OS requirements.
Despite extensive testing over many months, some compatibility and transition issues occurred with the release of Cubasis 3.8, which have been partially resolved in yesterday’s Cubasis 3.8.1 update.
External display support actually worked better before the update on android though?! Still unable to drag and drop anything using any mouse (fader, arrangement window parts etc) after 3.8.1 update, not sure why this was not priority in terms of the bug fix list as its quite fundamental
Thanks for the info, Lars. I’m a long-time user of Cubasis, so a bit scary when it’s not reliable! Thanks for the quick fix, still a bit nervous to update from 3.7.8, which is rock solid for me.
I’m having problems with the Apple Pencil pro on an iPad Pro 13” m5 since the 3.8 update. It’s impossible to scroll any list or edit midi events because every time it snaps back to the original position.
I tried installing the 3.8.1 update, reinstalling cubasis, disconnect and reconnect the Pencil, restart the ipad but the issue still persists.
Good afternoon. Happy New Year! Wishing everyone peace, happiness, and creative success! Regarding the Cubasis 3.8.1 update: The Android keyboard still overlaps the track rename window. If you use the app horizontally, the Android keyboard overlaps the window, but if you use it vertically, it doesn’t. I took the screenshot on a Lenovo Tab P12 tablet, both horizontally and vertically, so it’s clear and easy to see.
I appreciate a major point releases is more likely to have bugs than a minor point release. It’s just the nature of software development.
The problem with phone apps (unlike iOS or Windows) is that upgrade is almost straight away and automatic as it’s handled by the store.
With my windows daw software I generally wait until the next minor point release before I upgrade from a major point release.
So what to do?
Is it possible to have a button maybe asking if we want to upgrade straight away only on major point releases or delay say for 2 to 4 weeks upon startup of the app?
I’ve recently updated CUBASIS to the very latest version 3.8.1 (running on iPad version 18.7.3)
Firstly the new amp/tuner are a great addition but since updating CUBASIS is constantly crashing. Also I’m finding time stretches are no longer playing correctly - using on a track I recorded pre update worked fine. Same song with no changes on tracks and now have stuttering and odd missing sections??? Again we’ve moved forward with some great new features but yet again causing problems and glitches that make using CUBASIS very frustrating and to be honest at the moment a waste of time
Please can you advise on any further updates to resolve these problems
Just adding some extra problems that I’ve been experiencing since the 3.8.1 update on CUBASIS (iPad)
When opening a project it’s saying that can not find/load external app that I’ve never had a problem with AuV3
When recording or editing insert FX I’m getting a low memory warning Never had this before on the song I’m working on with previous version and haven’t added any new tracks Only applied NEW AMP RACK!!!
