Doesn’t surprise me all that much. Apple has very much been making it clear that their ecosystem is something where they decide what people get and you take it or leave it.

We are a very small niche market to them - we take what they give us.
Frankly I’m glad to have an older machine as most plug-ins works with it… I doubt if i will ever need the speed and ram I got…
