Mystic, Prologue and Specter not in Cubase 12

Mac OSX: CB 12: I was able to to get all the old VSTs work but I can’t seem to get any of the Factory Presets to show up. I’ve done everything I can think of. Even tried to edit the Content.xml files.

Anyone on Macs able to get the factory presets to load?

OSX / Apple users: to get the presets to show and work for the old synths / loopmash, install as per the above instructions

Then open Cubase with no projects, go to media bay, de-select all the factory content, wait a bit, then select it again. Close Cubase.

Open it again and all is working as before!

Hi, I’m on Mac OSX (CB 12 - 14) and still grappling with this problem of missing Mystic, Prologue and Spector. I still have CB 11 on my machine. With the more recent CB versions, I am unable to locate the old VSTs let alone the presets for them.

Where did you find the old VSTs?

I’ll send them to you direct

That would be amazing. Thank you.

Hi Noise,

Would you mind sending them to me too please?

I have many instances of Mystic, Prologue and Specter in my projects.

Thank you!

Just came on this thread. Opened an old project and was stunned to see Mystic was GONE from Cubase 13. WOW. I didn’t notice it was gone from previous versions bc I hadn’t used it in a while. WOW! So disappointed. Can you send me the files to restore it for Cubase 13? I have several songs using Mystic and Embracer. They were GREAT synths! Help!

Hi all, this is an ever-green topic, but there is still something missing IMO.

After a personal research, the missing thing is the Presets managing: I have the final solution.

To get the full access to Loopmash, Mystic, Prologue and Spector presets in your current Cubase version, simply double click on the .vstsound files in the Cubase 11 VST Sound folder (Windows: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 11\VST Sound) to register them in Steinberg Library Manager.

In that way you can access them from MediaBay and the Plug-in itself (working for me in Cubase 15 Pro).

Hope this help.

Make sure you have a valid licence (on a dongle) for Cubase 11, though.

You are right, thanks for clarifyng, indeed, you must have it because C12 and later took off them.

Cheers!

I used to use a mono synth, can’t remember what it was called. It was dead simple to use, but, to my ears, sounded good. I used it a lot. Then it was gone. Haven’t used a synth bundled with Cubase since. Reluctant even to use stock FX, for the same reason.
