i like to do traditional sampling from vinyl records, how can i sample in Maschine using its audio inputs in Cubase like i would in Maschine standalone? how can assign my loopback input from my interface to maschines external source input?
Does this thread help?
This doesnāt help, they have discontinued the Maschine fx vst.
So what is the problem with recording your turntable output in Cubase via your audio interface, or though the audio loopback, then dragging the audio into Maschine from Explorer?
I can do that?
Yep. I have a Focusrite interface, and that has a loopback input. If I add a new audio track and choose loopback as the input option and click the monitor button then I can hear (and record) anything coming through my Windows system (Spotify, web radio etc).
Optionally, your turntable output cable should be able to connect to your interface, then record that onto a new audio track as you would with any instrument.
Once you have your tracks recorded, you can find them in your project audio folder. After that it is simply a case of dragging them into Maschine using Windows Explorer. Drop them onto an empty track in Maschine 2 or 3 software (either standalone or in Cubase as a VST) then you can cut, slice and dice them at will.
Let me know if you need more details.
Thanks a millionš
