Nice!!! Thank you for the info
Since some time has passt think I should update my first post a little
With MIDI Remote added in Cubase 12, I think there is a very good and flexible solution now for whatever controller is used.
With the NI KK update 2.80 (info from Arnaud88) all Steinberg Instruments are now available in KK.
I think the only thing left missing now are fast preset/patch previews for the Steinberg instruments. Either as an NKS-Solution oder as native Cubase implementation in the future…
The link I posted above describes how to create an NKS library complete with audio previews.
NKS for Steinberg plugins
I must say I really like the new HALion 7 browser. So I’d actually prefer a native solution for sample based previews directly inside HALion.
NKS as alternative or addition.
The (architectural) problem with NKS is the assignment AFTER creating a NKS preset or with NKS presets created by the manufacturers.
I personally like to control volume, cutoff, resonance on the first page and not to navigate to page 16 …
So I prefer to build presets by myself.
Freelance SoundLabs is a great solution for NKS VST Libraries. It has a vast selection for Steinberg plugins. Include the brand new Halion 7. It works like charm.
That’s interesting. Should maybe be controlled and made available officially by SB via the Download Assistant.
This is No 1 for me if i going to buy NI stuff
