I have just installed Elements 14 with a specific project in mind. I want to transpose a single audio clip by a measly 1 semitone, but transpose is missing from the Info Line (and not available if I right-click the Info Line) nor is Pitch Shift an option available as Process. Using a Mac, if that makes a difference. Any clues?
Hi,
I just checked - that should be possible in Cubase Elements.
Is your clip by any chance locked (lock symbol in the corner of your audio event) or do you see other icons on your event?
This overview will help you to identify what they mean and what to do:
Thanks for that, but sadly not. Pitch shift doesn’t even appear as an option in the Audio/Processes menu, not on the Info Line for an audio recording in a new project. Very strange.
As far as I can tell those features are not available in Cubase Elements.
The comparison chart didn’t give a clear answer on that question. My assumption that it was possible in Cubase Elements was based on a search in this forum.
Maybe someone else with Elements can chime in and confirm? I am not at my computer right now so I can’t fire up Cubase as Elements to see for myself.
Will the Sampler Track or Groove Agent help with what you want to do?
Thanks, yes I got what I needed by using the sampler tracking and triggering the clip one semitone down. But it’s very weird that transpose is missing.
I thought so too. I am certain it was there in earlier versions (I’ve used Cubase for 25 years). But I’m now seeing this:
It’s a project info line setting, not sample editor.
Actually it is there as @Giovanni_Buchelli pointed out. I had another look and you have to toggle the info line in the Windows Layout.
Interesting. I took my info from the manual and the section that described this feature for Cubase Pro was not present in Elements. Thus I figured the feature doesn’t exist there.
Sometimes the manual works in mysterious ways.
D’uh. Thanks. It is there! Looking in the wrong place!
