None of my preferences transferred from Cubase 7

I just installed Cubase Pro 8 and it didn’t import any of my settings from Cubase 7.

  • The control room settings aren’t set up
  • None of the shortcut keys are set
  • The project and template locations are not set so none of my usual templates appear
  • All of the preferences are the default

I don’t spend a lot of time messing with settings once I get them the way I want. So figuring out how to get this all the way I like it is going to take a while…

Before I spend multiple hours trying to remember how to set up Cubase 8 so it worked exactly the way I liked it in Cubase 7, can someone tell me if there’s a simple way to get all of these Cubase 7 settings sucked into 8?

You’ll have to transfer them manually from c/users/your name/AppData/Roaming/Steinberg/Cubase7.5_64/

Copy them to:c/users/your name/AppData/Roaming/Steinberg/Cubase8_64/

All the settings and preference are there, whilst your in that folder you may as well check out the presets folder as well, quite a few of those will probably be missing as well
