Optimizing a iMac for audio...

Hey!

I’ll soon have a Mac for Cubase in studio B.

I have a pretty good knowledge of WinXP, and I know pretty much everything about building a PC, and optimizing it for a DAW application.

BUT!
I never did it on a Mac…
It will be an iMac, OsX Lion.

Every tips and hints are welcome…

BTW, I would like to run Cubase in 32bits…

Thanks!

Just plug it in and go! There’s no tweaking nonsense to deal with on the Mac platform. Enjoy.

Aloha,

Agreed.

C6/MacOS10.7.2/32 or 64 bit/ no probs.

However when you start to add 3rd party stuff, things
can change depending on what you add.

We’ll talk later ‘bout dat’.

{‘-’}

No tweaking?

I would mainly be using Waves plugins, SampleTank 2, Toontrack products.

Hi Curtey!

What audio interface are you using on your iMac?
OSx Lion?
