In the manual it describes how to pan an effect send by opening up the panning tab in the channel settings. This works as advertised for mono channels, but when I tried it in the current version of Cubase 15 with a stereo channel no pans show up when I click the pan tab and the send is always panned to the center no matter how the send channel is panned or no matter whether I have link panners turned on or off. Is this the intended behaviour?
Hmmm… strange. Can you post a screenshot? Preferably one which also shows the destination channel of the send.
It works as expected , here.
Tried it on stereo, mono tracks, and the FX channel.
No Destinations set = no Pan slider, at least 1 Destination set, a slider for each Destination.
An obvious question, but I’m going to ask anyway, for the purposes of elimination: In the second image, does the channel actually have any destinations set?
Is the distination channel “Rhythm Reverb” by any chance a mono channel?
No, it’s stereo.
Yes, to rhythm reverb (a stereo channel). I also tried it on several other stereo channel sends to stereo effects channel and got the same results: no pan slider.
Ok, this is weird. I just added a new stereo channel and a new stereo effect channel to the project and sent the former to the latter and the pan showed up (unlike what happens for the existing channels). Feels like a bug. Just for the record i’m running Cubase Pro 15.0.30 on Windows 11.
Ok, I think I’ve isolated the problem. The tracks where I don’t see a send pan are channels where the source audio is mono, but the track was made stereo to have stereo inserts on it. (Yes, I could also have used all sends from the beginning but that creates more channels to keep track of so I usually start with just inserts till I need something fancy ;>)
I got no idea what might be the root cause of this. I can only tell you that I don’t encounter this issue on my computer.
