I can’t scroll down the parts dropdown menu. There is 32 parts, including the full score, and I can hardly see the 32nd, because it’s hidden behind the Windows taskbar.
This issue was already happening to someone in Dorico 4 - I wrote a post in the appropriate topic. No one answers for more than a week, so I created a new one.
I’ve just tried it on my laptop’s small screen and it’s odd: I can scroll when the list is longer than the screen’s height, but only the last instrument at the bottom stays behind the taskbar (either with the mouse or the arrow keys). As you’re discribing.
But if I go to Setup mode and add an instrument (then delete it immediately, or undo with Ctrl+Z), the problem seems to be solved.
As a temporary workaround, if the problem persists, you can reorder the part layouts in Setup mode in the Layouts panel to the right so the ones you need to work with stay visible at the top.
Resizing the window has an effect. It happens only in full screen, not when windowed. However, this isn’t the issue imho: When I use one more player (33rd), the dropdown becomes scrollable. So it’s only about most of the list items being behind windows taskbar. My guess would be that Dorico calculates the height needed for the dropdown list to be scrollable based on the top coordinates of each item. I believe so, because a few pixels of the 32nd item (the last one) are still selectable. If the top of this item appears below the bottom border of the Dorico app, it becomes scrollable. See the screenshot below.
