Have you checked to make sure that your Legacy Firewire driver hasn’t been replaced by Windows Update? One of the earlier updates replaced the Legacy with the new driver, even after installing manually. There’s a screen cap in this post if you’re not sure of what I’m talking about.

The RME AES32 is an all digital internal PCI card, so no firewire drivers or so, but thanks for the suggestion
I just requested RME’s support for this one.
Cubase 12 on my M1 Mac is finally usable but it does crash every time I render a mixdown then select to save the project. I’ll add a crash report next time it happens.

You can attach the crash IPS file(s) you already have.
I’m told when uploading the IPS file it is zero bytes, I’l l post it after this as text. By the way mixdowns are still taking a very long time to render, what should take 4 minutes is taking 18 minutes. The crash seems to happen when the render has just finished.
Too many characters, I’ve sent the log file to Steinberg though.

Emailed them, were the drivers after all, it is working great now with the latest driver, switching between all buffer settings available without bluescreens.
There seem to be two places for downloading my card’s drivers and the one is obsolete.
It has an old driver version as latest which is not the case, when navigate to the newer site there is a newer driver version…
Should take one down , it’s confusing.

Just now. Happened out of the blue, while auditioningto the project cubase quit, not reproducible.
Safe mode panel reports that was terminated with an error while execyting izvinyl.dll (izotope vinyl)

Sorry, this crash is really in the izotope vinyl plug-in.
Make sure, the plug-in is up to date and your iLok/PACE software is up to date.

Since a few weeks I am not able to open Cubase 12 sessione without a crash at the start. These sessions can be open with Cubase 10.5. but not with 11 or 12. It does´t matter if the sessions are made with 10.5. or 11 or 12. I use a lot of plugin from many manufactors. (no cracks at all!) . Everything is up to date. What can i do? Thank you

Then, you could try to delete the preferences folder. Hopefully newly created preferences would work for you.

thank you. I deleted cubase 12 and the previous preferences folder, but I have the same issue to start sessions while Cubase 10.5. Pro works complete fine.
