Problems with starting WL10 after upgrading graphical card (Soft Elicenser)

After I upgraded my graphical card I get this message when starting WL10:
“Your system finger is not valid anymore.
After starting WL10 I get two message windows:

The systems’ hardware configuration has been changed!”

And then another message:
“Necessary files or information for the validity of the soft-elicenser has been changed or corrupted”

My USB elicenser is not affected, and I can still use Wavelab.
But the two messages keeps popping up, and would like to fix the issue so they stop.

Did anybodey really succed in this item? No more ticket support from Steinberg for WL10, and whatever I try, the two messages keep returning when I start WL10. Updating the Soft-Elincenser control doesn’t help me anyway.
Somebody who has the solution for me?

Do you have a USB elicenser?

Is Wavelab working after the messages or it doesn’t open?

Yes, I have a USB elicenser. And Wavelab works after the two messages. It is just that I would get rid of the messages every day I use WL.

Open elicenser control centre and see if you have any soft licenses there…. List anything you have in there.

Request the Steinberg technical support for this.

They won’t react because WL10 is not supported anymore

In my softelicenser is nothing. In the USB Elicenser is my WL10

I am not sure of the answer either, but the version of WL that you have installed is clearly looking for these ‘missing’ items every time it is launched. I had something similar a few years ago with ProTools.

I wonder if uninstalling WL 10 … rebooting … and then reinstalling would solve the issue as the fresh install would be ‘unaware’ of the hardware change

I tried that by uninstalling en reinstalling WL, though I didnot remove all the settings in WL, because I was afraid to loose all my settings, screen layouts etc.

Your system fingerprint is not valid anymore..eh! - Cubase - Steinberg Forums

See this thread, reinstalling e licenser control center may help. Try to uninstall using Geek Uninstaller.

I uninstalled it with REVO uninstaller, reinstalled it but no succes. Tried also an older version of the E-licenser control 6.11.10.2272. But no success.

Steinberg Download Assistant | Steinberg have you tried this?

Steinberg Download Assistant 1.38.x without eLicenser Control Center installation – Steinberg Support

The issue is likely caused by the deactivated soft elicense….even though nothing is in it.

Before the elicenser shutdown you could have deleted this license yourself with helper app but now it will presumably require support to do that….they should still help as it’s not regarding the out of support WL10, it’s an elicenser problem.

Thanks, I will try to contact them

If they uninstall elicenser wavelab won’t work!

EDIT: Yes but that page also had instructions associated with SDA.

This page suggests you may still be able to run maintenance though I’m sure I’ve seen other articles say it will not work since shutdown….maybe worth a try?

I did this, and the soft licenser is enabled and black in the license control center. It is empty but the two messages still pop up during start of WL 10.

I have the solution from Steinberg, and it works.
But I understood that I am not allowed to share the content of the solution with the forum?

"You may not copy or
deliver this message to anyone else or use its content for other purposes!" stood in the response of Steinberg.
So what to do now??
