Project Templates gone from hub Cubase 14.0.20

Updated to 14.0.20 and now all the factory project templates are gone, including my user templates, but in the “Recent” list in the hub, they appear,
but the factory templates are all gone from “Recording”, “Scoring”, “Production”, “Mastering” and “More” don’t show anything.

See if updating media bay helps, you can find it in the download section of cubase pro 14.

I have the exact same issue after upgrading to 14.0.20 all my templates are gone from the hub. I can see stuff in recent but that’s it…

Although I can see my user templates in media bay after rescanning the disk they still don’t show up in the hub same with the factory templates…

I seem to be spending more and more time trying to fix update issues as of late that weren’t there in my previous version than I do making music.

Come Steinberg up your game we are not your beta testers.

@Aceman1120 @Recognizer Thank you for the report. How did you install the update? Via the Steinberg Download Assistant?

I just updated to 14.0.20 . All template not showing on Hub windows .
How to fix it ? thankyou ~~

Hi there, I just met a new problem here:

I opened Cubase Pro 14.0.20, but there’s no template on the right side. But I do have many templates in the Template file. So is this a new problem? How do I fix this?

Same here! Windows. Please help!

Hi! Here is a similar issue, I try to figure out:

Please wait for any news I’ll post in the thread above. Or pm me your Steinberg MediaBay Server preferences and I’ll take a look asap. I am currently stepping in the dark. I try to figure out the update path: What has changed: Cubase update from which version? Via SDA? Which MediaBay was installed before? Which one now? …

Hi Joerg,
I just solved this problem yesterday. I reinstalled the latest Steinberg Download Assistant to reinstall Cubase Pro 14.0.20, and then reopened Cubase again and all the templates were there to see! I remembered that I installed Cubase Pro 14.0.20 with the standalone setup package from Steinberg Download which made this problem happen. You could try it too, good luck!

Hi, I’m not sure what that means, can you clarify for me please?

Thank you!

Sure, that means you could only update with Steinberg Download Assistant (from the previous Cubase 14 Pro) to avoid bugs such as “no templates” as I mentioned before.
Though you could download the latest version from here: Cubase 14 Downloads | Steinberg
But it’s likely to cause bugs…not that reliable.

Same issue. All my templates are gone! If a save a new one it also doesn’t appear in hub. Brilliant …

Update: fixed by re-installing using SDA

Yes, but there is a warning on that site. Please be aware that setting up things the way you like is ok, so far… but should best be communicated when asking others for help. Support ist most effective on a defined setup. Otherwise the initial task is figuring that out.

Did you run the SDA for the update? From which version of Cubase did you update?

Quick update
I re-installed using download Assistant (couldn’t get it installed the first time) and all is good. Didn’t expect it to make that much of a difference but hey, we live and learn
Mac OS 13.5.1 Cubase 14.0.2

…just reinstall mediabay app…will be fine!!

A simple reinstall did not work for me.
Tried reinstalling via latest SDA 1.37.3. Still only showing partial User Project Templates. If I had time I could try a thorough uninstall and fresh install but for now working around it.

MediaBay version 1.2.40.50
Cubase Pro 14.0.20 from 14.0.10
macOS 15.3.2

Same here, macOS Sonoma. The workarounds haven’t worked for me… This is starting to get frustrating and very annoying… I’m starting to feel like we’re wasting money with this company… I mean, if I hadn’t paid for my software, I wouldn’t complain, but since the opposite is true (and I pay every time a new version comes out), here I am, complaining, like every day I open Cubase…

Update: FIXED!
I seem to have solved it. Thank goodness I always keep a copy of my preferences. Deleting them, creating new ones, and replacing them (the most important ones for me), including my templates, seems to have solved this problem.

P.S. I still think the same thing…
