RAM speed is different. Will it be a problem?

I want to buy a Ryzen 5800X cpu.
I notice it supports DDR4-3200 MHz Ram.

But the RAM I want to buy is 3600 MHz.
(Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 32GB 3600MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory Kit)

The MHz speed of the RAM exceeds what is supported by the CPU !!

  • Could this cause problems/glitches/timing issues when using Cubase?

No problem at all in using faster RAM than what your system/CPU is rated for.
It won’t have any performance impact either. (negative or positive)
The quoted DRAM module speed is only reflecting the MAX speed it could go, if the CPU was asking for it.

So if your CPU is asking for 3200, it will run at 3200, even if the DRAM module could handle a faster CPU.
There is no gain on overspending on DRAM, just pick a reputable vendor for stability.
(Corsair is a good one)

Please continue in Ryzen 5, 7 or 9 performance? (Cubase 10)
