Reactivation.. again

Once again you are asking me to reactivate without even doing anything. And once again I just don’t understand.

That’s what am doing but how do I get a new code? It says “look in the eLicenser control center” but that one is the old one.
Why is there no button like “request new”, you get a new one, the old one is gone?
Fine that the licens sometimes stops working, but why is it so hard to get a new? What do I do now? It’s like my third or fourth time this has happend to me, and everytime I need to get new code from service. This should be fixed years ago.

Hi,

Did your system change?

Which software is asking? A little bit more information is necessary…

You can buy a new license every time you want.

No, nothing changed. I just logged in the day after. Still no reply from customer service.

Why would I buy a new one, I already paid for the one I have, it should be working.

Hi,

Do you use any cleaning system application? They can break the system and corrupt the license this way.

You cannot get a new code/new licence for free. Reactivation is the way to go to get old license to a new system.

Does the eLicenser Control Center still show the Cubase license? Maybe executing the maintenance procedure there fixes the issue.
I’d also suggest to run the Steinberg Download Assistant because it checks if there’s a newer version of the eLCC available and updates it automatically.

No nothing. What do you mean. I had a key, still have it. But now it’s inactive. Before, they (Steinberg support) deactivated the old key, and gave me a new.

This is the third time this has happened to me. People can lose their computers, and then what, the license is gone for good?

What is the point of being able to reactivate the code if what you say is true, and you can’t get a new key? I just don’t get it.

I just want to use the program I paid for. 2 weeks and not even a response on my mail from Stenberg. This is just unacceptable. It’s hard to write feedback without coming off as an idiot, but I just want to play music…

I’ve done nothing from last time I was using cubase.

I typed the error statement into Google and found these two results:

In both instances they suggest:

Right click on the e-licenser program icon and select “Run as administrator” > Perform maintenance.

A related article is also linked in one of them:

Several hours in to this I found a way that worked for me. I’m pasting it here, just in case someone in the future has the same problem. But thanks for your help! This drove me insane
