New group folders are great except there is no option in settings to view region blocks when the group folders are collapsed. There is an option for folders to do so but not group folders. Please and thank you feature-request . It would also be nice if you could assign the group folders to the left or right sides in the mixer as well.

the lower menu options do not highlight for folder group tracks. it needs to be updated. I went through this with email support and they asked me to make a post here about it.
I see others reporting the same issue on here no resolve.
You asked for two things. The second one, being able to assign folder groups to the left or right zone in the mixer, is really not present at the moment.
Your first requested item, however, seems to be already available. It is not clear to me what you’re follow-up posts are about.
what seems to be already available to you is NOT already available. I can not see region blocks when GROUP folders are collapsed. please fix it.
Have you activated the setting as per what Vinju wrote and showed?
if you read what i already replied before you showed up yes it does not highlight for a group folder it only works for folders that are not groups i was asked to make this post by email support. are you email support? are you a part of the team that fixes issues?
Not sure why it isn’t working on your computer. Over here it is just fine:
that is strange since email told me it did not work for them either and that i needed to make a post with a feature request to make it happen and here is another post with someone else asking the same thing.
so i just clicked and clicked again the folder setting in preferences and boom it works now. i guess it was a glitch thanks y’all.
Yes, well, I think I prove that the feature exists. And if you look at the screenshot from @Vinju_Jacob_Thomas 's post you can see that the context menu with the correct otions happened on a Folder Group. That’s why I pointed at it again.
