Resetting sounds does not change strings to Iconica Sketch

After a lot of searching I managed to install Iconica Sketch on my iPad. After resetting sounds the woodwinds, brass and percussion switched to Iconica Sketch but the strings didn’t. This may be because I started the song on my Mac and I believe I was using solo strings. I was working on setting them manually in Play mode but Dorico crashed, which seems to be another current issue on the iPad. Is “Basses” the correct choice for the contrabasses? Is “celli” the correct choice for Cellos? Note that my work wasn’t saved before the crash. I am hoping I will be able to move back and forth between my Mac and the iPad when working on a song.

Working fast I managed to set the strings to Iconica Sketch and try playing it. Now there is another problem. The strings are playing something on the order of an eighth note, no matter what the duration of the note is. In other words, a whole note is played like an eighth note.

Iconica Sketch doesn’t contain solo string sounds, so I suspect that’s the problem.

I reset the sounds again and now the strings play sustained notes. My guess is that the expressions maps weren’t set correctly by just changing the strings from GM to Iconica Sketch and that the reset set it right.

As said: if you are using Solo/Single Players for your Violins in Setup mode, then you’re not using Iconica samples, but HSO. If you manually change the samples in the HALion VST, then you’ll need to manually change the Expression maps, too.

But it’s probably quicker to change the Single Players into Section Players in Setup mode.
