Hello,
I am currently using score reduction to derive chords, then asking Dorico to generate notes from the chords.
For me, this is a very simple way to check that no mistakes have crept into a composition with 17 instruments + choir by listening to the sequence of chords in the measure.
Have you found any tips and tricks to ensure that Dorico takes into account the scale of the score and the bass to generate chords? For example, I had an example that was confused between A minor and C major.
I am also particularly interested in the distribution of chord notes on the piano. Has Dorico published a document on this subject? I have tested many generations of notes from 3 to 12, which have produced very different suggestions. What rules do Dorico’s developers use? Thank you in advance.
My goal is to have one playable chord score with bass on the left hand and 3-5 note chords on the right hand.
Thank you for sharing.
