Slate plugin (Deleted) licence activations showing EVERY time I load Cubase 13

So I had the Slate All Access bundle, finished the subscription and removed the plugins from my machine (they no longer show in my Plugin-Manager or iLok account) yet every time I start Cubase, I get prompted to activate these licences…

Not the end of the world, but is surely slowing down my loading time.

Anyone know why or how to stop? Didn’t happen in C12.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This remainds me the Harrison Plugins Prevent Cubase from Loading thread.

Do you think, it’s the same issue in the end?

Yes, Martin, it does look like he’s having the same problem.
Nikhollis, another user helped me with this same issue. After you’ve uninstalled all of your unwanted/unlicensed Slate plugins using their installer, go into your “common files” VST folder on your C drive. You may find some “zombie” files still hanging around that still need to be deleted. Apparently Cubase still reads those every time it boots up, and it tries to load those plugins, so it will keep prompting you for a license activation.

Hi,

Could you please inform the plug-in vendor, the uninstaller doesn’t work properly?

I use Slate Digital Connect
Which also now includes SSL plugins

I had the same problem the other day with the SSL installer did not remove the plugin from the VST Folders,

I had to manually delete the VST files
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

Thanks guys, that worked, nice one!!
