SMOOTH SCROLLING FINALLY

I see, the scrolling indeed seems to be very smooth. But the vertical zooms seem as laggy as ever.

Hey sorry to revive this thread. I have some people telling on other forums that smooth scrolling now exists, but do we know this to be the case? All the videos I see here have been deleted. There’s one with Dom on YT but he’s not using a mouse I believe. Would love to see an example of smooth scrolling using Shift + Mouse wheel.
So far I keep asking for this because I don’t want to keep going down the rabbit hole if this feature does not yet exist on Windows.

Nodody?

I smoothed the scrolling on Nuendo on macOS (Ventura) by using this (paid, subscription !!) software :
https://www.smoothscroll.net/

I also tried MOS which is open source alternative but scroll jumps at the end… maybe there will be a fix
I use a MX Master 3 mouse.

Not sure that this is a Steinberg issue. I think this is due how the mouse driver (?) is written and the scroll resolution at hardware level.
On the Dom Siglas YT video you can see he uses a trackpad.

So the utilities like SmoothScroll.net or MOS (https://mos.caldis.me/) tries to emulate how the Trackpad do smooth scrolling by interpolating instead of “step jumping”.

So… does smoothscroll app work? I tried mos and it works everywhere, except Cubase)

What smooth scrolling? There’s no smooth scrolling for the mouse wheel in Cubase, only the middle mouse button. That’s currently the only way to scroll smoothly but we have to move the pointer around.
On Dom’s video at 0:24 he is using a third party program for this. We can clearly see the mouse pointer glitching out, it simulates the middle mouse button while keeping the pointer at the same place. Note that he doesn’t even use a conventional mouse but a Loupedeck and a trackpad with tons of macros.
