Hi, since updating, my audio unit list for both instrument and effects has disappeared and also I am unable to select audio channel input.
new amp is impressive though!

For future reference (to everyone reporting issues).
Please mention which Device Model and OS version is being used as this will make the trouble-shooting a lot easier.
Apart from bumping into various bugs with the trim functionality I’ve had no additional issues running Cubasis 3.8 on my 11” M1 iPadPro running iPadOS26.2 with a bunch of 3rd party AUv3s.
Granted I did not get any of the new Piano apps as they are of no interest to me so I can’t check their functionality…
Hi @hamishflute
Please take a look at the following article:
Does this help resolving your issues?

Hi @CJ_Monster,

That’s not correct. We haven’t received any reports of issues with the pianos.
Please avoid sharing incorrect information, as it can cause confusion.
Best regards,
Lars
Imagine the sky being green
Imagine water being dry
Imagine having a betatester team that actually detects bugs before release
Hi @CJ_Monster,
I understand your frustration with the recent update.
Please be assured that maintaining quality is a top priority for us. It wouldn’t be possible to keep Cubasis and our other apps in the market for over 10 years without thorough quality assurance and beta testing.
We’re working on an update to fix the most critical issues and will release it as soon as possible.
I’ve shared independent YouTube reviews showing the latest version working well for many users. These reviews are unbiased, the reviewers got their versions before the release and you’re welcome to reach out to the creators for their experiences.
Again, we do our best to shortly address the most important issues in an update soon to be released.
While my primary role isn’t support, I’m happy to dedicate extra time to help keep our users satisfied.
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
Lars
Thanks, Lars That has improved things- probably due to 26.2 update

Glad to read this - thanks for the update!

90% of those are IOS reviews while Android has a much wider array of models, chipsets and (sub) OS’s. Which only confirms my complaint of the lack of betatesting.
And even the current bugs on IOS shouldnt have flown under the radar.all the reviewers didnt notice the Bluetooth bug? While multiple users have experienced thar bug.
Speaking of that issue.. about ,like, a year ago i reported a BT bug on Android. Where i even showed with 2 audio clips that when i turn on BT,the tempo of overall song and the pitch of instrument went down (even when rendering to a mp3).. no bug fix nor solution.. yet when IOS has a BT bug: swift efforts to fix it.
I was the first to report the Iconica Sketch bug with the similar problems of missing UI elements and no sound in instruments on Android.. no acknowledgement. But when IOS has the exact same problem then suddenly there is acknowledgement and the message that the bug is being worked on.
It often feels like the Android version is just an IOS port and minimal effort is put into it + the lack of Android expertise. And because of that lack, the blame is often put on Android/google.. while other audio/daws apps write their own drivers/solutions and cubasis only uses Android stock (like the audio engine).
This update has created several problems for me. First of all Iconic.
When you change the instrument between violins, cello etc. nothing happens and the sound remains the same.
The Harp sound is completely muted and pieces of the interface are missing. For now the software is completely unuseable.
How long will it take to put things in order?
No hotfix yet? It’s been three days.
Don’t let them treat us like this. Don’t buy their crap lies about having a good beta test team. Jokes get made on other forums about how WE ARE THE BETA TESTERS.
Hi Lars , I still find I have to completely close down Cubasis and restart my iPad to get Auv3s back. also as observed Cubasis is indeed behaving strangely
Hi @Goldiblockz
We’re actively working on the 3.8.1 hotfix, focused on the most critical issues from the release.
A quick community note: keep the discussion respectful.
Best,
Lars
Thank you Lars!
Hope all problems will be fixed ![]()
Dear Lars,
I wanted to thank you and your whole team for the quick troubleshooting found in version 3.8. Surely you did an exceptional job that I couldn’t try.
All the numerous problems (over 15) of version 3.8 made me realise that Steinberg is putting too much meat on the fire that he can no longer control.
Testing of new version could (IMO) be done in the release phase without putting thousands of users in difficulty.
For this reason I removed Cubasis and Dorico and switched to Logic Pro.
thank you for the work you have done over the years and I wish you the best for your work.
Merry Christmas!
Thanks for your message.
We completely understand your frustration with the issues in version 3.8. The update involved a major framework upgrade to ensure long-term stability and enable new features, which unfortunately led to some unavoidable compatibility challenges despite extensive testing. We worked hard to address these quickly in 3.8.1, but we regret the inconvenience this caused.
While we’re sorry to see you leaving the family, we truly appreciate the time you’ve spent with us. Thank you for your support, and all the best in your music-making journey.
Merry Christmas,
Lars
Just out of curiosity, if you are having trouble with Cubasis, why do you also remove Dorico?
Logic Pro is not a notation software and does not have the capabilities of Dorico
