I’m on Cubase 14 and just updated to Sequoia 15.7.1 on Mac. When I try to draw the sustain pedal data in the MIDI sustain controller lane, it always makes a ramp from one point to the next. As long as I’ve been using Cubase (2 decades) it’s always been an On/Off controller track. I’ve googled and seen two supposed solutions, neither of which helps: 1) right click in controller lane and enable “auto select controller”. But when I right-click in the controller lane, all that appears is a very limited toolbar, no menu list at all. The other solution offered 2) Open Logical Editor and add setting, etc., but none of the options described is visible in the Logical Editor. I don’t know why this is even an issue, as Sustain controller has always just worked as an On/Off affair, there is zero need for ramps in that lane. Anyone have an idea how to sort this out?
Hello,
since C13 the default for creating a controller event is the ramp type.
Switch it back to the step type.
Thank you, Johnny, that did the trick. I found a video where it said this option was offered if you click on the + button down there, but it seems like menu options are never found where you’re told they’ll be at anymore. ![]()
