You’re not, but I use the piano roll for MIDI editing of synth parts, but that’s obviously a personal preference. Timeline being left to right and in that view MIDI CC lanes are clearly visually separated).
So I mostly use the list view for troubleshooting (like identifying notes that hidden due to overlaps). I remember starting with the list view for MIDI editing in my Atari days, though, so I can see why someone might have continued to prefer that view. It’s obviously also popular in the tracker scene.
So maybe you’re in a smaller group of users, who uses the list view for routine editing?
But if you’re not so alone, using the feature request tag and lobbying for votes might be an approach to gain better traction for your wish?
