SysEx Bank Management

Oh actually I’ve got this great app called midikit which much be able to help, I’ll give that a go

If you mean turn the page from ‘inside’ a VST plugin…then check to see if your plugin has a registered VST parameter for it. If it does, then all you need is an Automation Lane for it (either on an instrument track, or off the VSTi plugin itself). Sometimes you can tell more about what registered parameters a plugin offers by looking at the generic editor the plugin. First load your sounds in the plugin like you want. To get at the generic editor, right click near the top right corner of a plugin when its UI is open, and try the different view/editing modes.

HALion Sonic Normal mode, swapping to generic:

Here I get a complete list of any registered VST parameters for the plugin. If it’s registered here, and actually linked to something in the plugin, then it can be automated via standard Cubase automation lanes.

For rack instruments I can automate such parameters from the VST Instruments section of the project.

I.E. Parameters in HALion Sonic

For Instrument Tracks, VST automation lanes go with the track itself.

I.E. With a Zenology Instrument Track

Then I browse to Zenology to see what all Parameters it offers.

Once I’ve set up an automation lane, I can repeat the process to make more…

If your plugin doesn’t have a parameter registered that can ‘change pages’…maybe it’s something you’re trying to get Cubase itself to change? I.E. find and call up complete track or instrument presets with the Steinberg Media Bay.

Perhaps try a generic remote?

Nearly every button/command in Cubase can be triggered with these. They can also trigger Macros and logical editors. If you need to ‘automate’ anything in Cubase that doesn’t have a proper track type, you can use a generic remote, virtual port, and a MIDI Track to make sequences of such controls and simulate an automation track.

I.E. I use the method to do things like stop the transport in live performances, toggle arming/disarming various sets of tracks, pop specific loaded plugins in and out of view, jump about to specific markers, build LFO curves using the MIDI effect inserts to pump controls, and more. Essentially, I can remote control the entire DAW via MIDI track(s).

Set the input of the track as your MIDI controller, or ALL, and the output as your virtual port. Set the MIDI port in the Generic Remote map as your virtual port. Arm the track for monitoring when you want it active. You can also ‘record’ onto the MIDI track in real time (arm it for recording and do a take, then disarm it). Of course can just draw events in the key or list editors, or on a CC automation lane too (and process with MIDI logical editors if desired).

Generic Remotes are supported up through Cubase 13, and it’s unknown if Steinberg will have those fully replaced with the newer LUA based remote control system in newer versions beyond (Cubase 12 and 13 also support this newer method of remote control. My ‘guess’ is that it will stick around for a while yet, as the newer system still needs quite a bit of development before it’s ready to ‘totally replace’ the old system, and MUC).

Yet another possible option is Mackie Universal Control. If you have a device that can send that, or know enough about it to invent and send the messages via software somehow, there might be a way to get at this ‘page’ control you seek with that as well.

I too want my SX UI back… specifically SX 3… just saying I wish I could have C13 with the UI from SX 3

1 think I’m talking about something else ( unless I’m mistaken)
I’m talking about paging theVST Instruments panel (cubase in general, not plugin specific) ,which in turn provides visual aid as to what the next bank of 8 qc are as shown here

As I write this it seems the link to that article might have the answer

There has been several threads on this in the past it seems with no solution as yet / that I’ve read.
