I’m very sorry if this is a stupid question to ask, but why when I use cubase can I not hear any of my other system sounds?
Is this normal? I just have the sound going to my headphones.

I have the same issue, too.
My system is Win 11.
When Cubase 12 is on, I can only hear sound from Cubase 12. Sound from other sources such as the internet browser cannot be heard. Even the YouTube videos run into error and can’t be played.
Only when Cubase is off, the other sound can be heard.
