Temporary closure of the Steinberg online shop

…and technical integration is happening in parallel to move as quickly as possible.

That’s awesome to hear.

I am currently using Dorico Elements 4 and I recently decided to upgrade to Dorico Elements 5. Am I correct that I can still download and use the 60 days trial? In the (hopefully unlikely) event that the web shop has not reopened after 60 days, would it be possible to extend my trial then?

You have 44 days until Black Friday deals so no pressure. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Let me answer with some words from Jim Morrison…

Yes, you can use the trial and we really hope that it won’t take longer than 60 days

If you’ll allow me, as a high-functioning autistic person, I’d like to say that until things get back to normal, I’d rather focus on Nuendo and my projects. I trust Steinberg and his team. Best Regards and Respect. Michel

Hello, I use Steinberg VST Live as trial and built Sets I used for my live performance. The trial period ends in some days and yesterday I wanted to buy the program. But it does not work because the shop is down. What can I do to use my sets? Where can I buy? Or can the trial extended for some days! Please find a way to solve the problem. Thanks, Michael

I’ve extended your VST Live trial to the end of October, Michael.

Hi Daniel,
what about extending the trial version until the shop reopens? My trial version expired.

Peter

For which product, Peter?

How about an open beta for Cubase 13 while we wait on the ability to purchase it?

The “surprise” is gone anyway, given the leaks. We all know the features already and it would be a good way to test for some bugs to show an active involvement in attempting to improve on what many thought of as a bad experience with Cubase 12.

We don’t have any plans for this.

You can rest assured that we are not sitting on our hands during the period during which the online shop is not available, and that the products that are waiting for release will have benefited from the delay.

Just thinking out loud. Never expected it.

Glad to hear you’re still working away behind the scenes.

13.5 has now become 13 ?

Yes, we have. We are working on finalising the contractual terms at the moment.

So, you guys learned nothing from this completely preventable experience?

I find it mind-boggling that a company that has been around for decades and has such brilliant engineers is unable to set up and run its own online shop. Wow!

I think you should be changing your leadership if anything.
