.I’ve been trying to upgrade to Dorico 5 from Dorico 3.5 for a month. My trial has expired, and I’d like to keep working. Thanks.
I’ve extended your Dorico Pro trial, @bburman. Run Steinberg Activation Manager and click the “refresh” button in the top right to refresh your license.
Hey everybody. Do I understand that correctly that the Dorico update will come after the new Store is open? Even if it will be 5.x one not 6? So we might expect Dorico 5.x by the end of the week?
That sounds a bit optimistic. I think the plan is to a) get the store up and running, b) sort out any teething problems and only then will, they c) start launching products. I suspect that the Dorico update is further down in the queue than, for example, the new version of Cubase - but I could be wrong.
No, definitely not. Please refer to this thread in the Dorico area of the forum for more information:
Hey, im also willingness to upgrade from artist to pro. If you send me invitation for softopening i will buy the Update. BR
Just putting my name down for the hypothetical list for the soft opening of the new shop. Looking to buy Cubase 13.
(If the list doesn’t exist, then I will desist, while still being pissed at the opportunity missed.)
Haha! If Steinberg decide upon a poem as a tie breaker, you’re in.
Steve.
@dspreadbury Would it be possible for you to do a November Fools (April fools ) so i can sit here and amuse myself with the outpour of hard doneby people who can’t use their DAW’s because your shops shut
At this rate it won’t be until February,
Despite the support from that lovely man Spreadbury.
As we’ve already said, the “soft launch” of the shop will not include any new product introductions. Once the shop is fully reopened, we will begin rolling out new products.
The “soft launch” is providing a preview of the products that will be included in our regular Cyber Weeks promotion later in the year. This does not include any Cubase products, but does include a selection of Absolute, Dorico, SpectraLayers, and WaveLab new licenses, updates and upgrades.
To get a discount during this preview period, you would need a unique coupon code, which is included in the email sent if you are lucky enough to be included.
Not sure what’s happening here - so C13 isn’t imminent? And no sense of when it is? So the online shop is being remade with a different provider but a special set of invitees only can intially access it? With no senes of how long this will be the case? And even these privileged few won’t be able to access actual updates? And said updates are now further pushed into the future? And despite the leaks, discussion of C13 is still verboten? And rather than be officially announed, this all needs to be intuited from elliptical posts by SB employees and moderators? Goodness me! Avid, Presonus, Apple etc. must be in hysterics!
I don’t suppose the good people at Avid, Presonus or Apple spend a lot of time worrying about our online shop, and nor should they.
We’ve been as clear as we can be. Allow me to summarise once more:
- Our new shop is “soft launching” today with an invitation-only sale that includes the products that will be included in our regular Cyber Weeks promotion planned for later in the year
- As soon as we are certain that the new shop is working as well as needed, it will be reopened to all customers; this should be in a matter of days
- Once the shop is fully reopened and humming along normally, we will release the products that are queued up ready for release
- We do not pre-announce release dates for forthcoming products, and we will not release lots of new products on the same day, so that we can be sure of being able to provide good customer support at pre-sales, sales, and post-sales.
I know the wait for products like Cubase 13 is frustrating. We can only ask you to continue to have patience. We are very nearly there.
Why are you so eager for a new product to come out now? Then we will complain because things fail (which we will do anyway) don’t worry, save your money, there will be time to spend it. Keep enjoying Cubase 12, I assure you that you will do the same with 13
Will there be any discounts for Groove Agent libraries?
I volunteer my hard earned money for “soft launch” testing on SpectraLayer10 upgrade discount or Dorico Pro 5 if on sale.
The rest of my budget is reserved for new versions of Cubase, Nuendo, Absolute or WaveLab upgrades when they get released.
Ask not what Steinberg can do for you! Ask what you can do for Steinberg.
I was waiting for black friday to buy absolute, if you’re looking for someone from Canada. Every province has a different tax regime, so you’ll need to test the store there.
Oh, and i’m an ex Steinberg employee. I worked there as a teen in Montreal. In those days, you only sold groceries
You are a ‘groove agent’ sir! Now go, drink more coffee lol
Niiiiiiick!!! Hola amigo!!! (Hello my friend)
Yes, i need more coffee! Get one!
Couple of issues I found:
