Not sure if this was a hoax but I read in a German music forum that there was a 60% discount on the store reopening for a very short period of time. Why did I not even revieve an email about the new store? Where is the official announcement? There is even no statement on the first page of the website! So what is that? Seems like the store is back but long time customers were kept in the dark unless we were not reading every day in other forums about it.

Yes, they are.
If you read the thread you’d see that there was an offer to select customers in different areas of the world in order to test the new store. I guess they wanted to make sure it all worked technically and as soon as that was verified they moved on. So, yes, short-term offer to just some customers.

Actually I am a long term customer since Cubasis and I purchased all Cubase releases until today. So why should they not choose me? 
It’s not the right cutomer relation attitude imho.
