The new "TAP TEMPO" Creates tempo changes to the project

I was using today the new tap tempo for the first time and I noticed that it adds a tempo change to my project! I just want to know the BPM of a WAV file and manually adjust my session to that bpm…
I NEVER tap at the exact BPM of the song… It’s usually something very close, but I’m pretty sure that 135.73 was not the BPM of a particular song, it’s probably 135 or 136, so, adding that tempo change is useless, even if I want to add a tempo change because it was changed to the wrong value (135.73 instead of 136, for example).
Is there any way to disable the tap tempo to add a tempo change ? (AKA, PLease bring the old beat calculator window!)
