It isn’t uncommon to see ties like this in the repertoire (contrived example):
These should all be one Legato. Instead, with my playback template as well as Auto, I get this:
The interspersed naturals ruin the phrase, in particular if one has shorter articulations for “short” and “very short” natural note values.
This occurs whether I fiddle with tie chain start/end pos. or not.
Seems like a bug to me or is this by design?
Hi @derAbgang, I can confirm that the legato is interrupted.
The only way I found to have continuous legato ist to write a legato PT (which you can hide) and Suppress the playback of the slurs:

Edit: actually this issue is caused by the slur beginning at the end of the tie chain (I remember this issue was already being discussed*): setting the slurs on the first note of tie chain, make the legato continuous as to be expected:
