Unable to create more than 24 bus

Hello,
I have an RMS Digiface USB allowing 32ios.
They do appear in the sudio configuration but in the Audio Connections window (F4)
I can’t create more than 24 busses.
The creation process works, but the newly created bus never appears in the list.
It seems the amount of busses is limited to 24, regardless of the port to wich the bus is assigned.
Any idea someone ?
Thank you.

Which version do you have LE/AI, Elements, Artist, or Pro?

Elements has a maximum of 24 inputs.

Thanks for your answer.
Elements indeed…
I didn’t know that.
I guess the same limitation applies for the outputs ?

Yes, that’s correct; inputs and outputs are each limited to 24. I’m happy to help, but you could have found that out with a simple Google search…

When I go to a supermarket, I go to a manned check out rather than the self-service ones. I like to chat. Chat with a self-service checkout is so one sided…

Ha…when I go to a store, I don’t want anyone talking to me- salesclerks, cash register operators or otherwise.

I swear the people lining up for manned checkouts have no life and just need shallow validation from clerks (who believe me…don’t care about a customer’s day). Or, here in LA…they’re buying beer…which isn’t allowed at self checkout so they’re stuck in the slow lane

I’m not in a store to chit chat. I’m there to buy stuff while I silently mentally ponder how I plan to move through today’s difficult bridge to verse transition arrangement with the flutes once back at the studio.

The fastest way to lose me as a customer is to take away self-checkout. Really though, I’m a great guy once you don’t get to know me

When I go to a supermarket and Google ask for the colour of a banana…

What answer will I get, green?

Now there’s a clear sign imo to the future of ai in grocery, supermarkets, car dealerships and McDonalds.

You walk over to the bananas display. You speak to the electronic sign stuck there…

By the way…I notice every single tiny shelf item price sticker at Walmarts here in LA are now electronic, multicolor lightup depending on command being sent to the sign for the .49 can of soup or whatever…so this is already a step. I don’t normally shop at walmart but had to see these things for myself.

Anyway…so you’re standing in front of the bananas …and you speak to the sign, asking “hey Claude, which banana here do you suggest …green or yellow?”

Sign immediately speaks to you in long explanation of pros/cons and suggesting the 3rd banana at the top left of the pile. You grab it, say thank you…the sign pipes up …

“would you like some great banana pie recipes,?” You reply no…sign won’t shut up…as long as you stand there, it’ll hit you with “ok, how long have you been liking bananas? Have you ever thought of a fine banana soup with pecans?”…

You reply 'no…stop helping me, I’m here to focus"…

But there WILL be those people…the ones who like manned checkouts…who WILL stand there all day, talking to the sign. Cuz they have no life. And hey, the electronic store signs may talk those poor souls into walking out of the store with $300 in bananas…and a great conversation about the customer’s dog health and Aunt Tilly out in the car

I predict a bright future for companies that produce teeny tiny electronic “only $1.49” signs that talk to you all day long.

Wow, that one derailed in no time:

@Cubase-Erklaerbaer pointed out that a quick google search would have led the OP to the same answer in no time

@Googly_Croft said he liked direct human interaction better than interacting with a machine using supermarket’s manned checkouts as an example

@DosWasBest claimed that people who don’t use the self checkout basically have no life (kind of rude btw)

From then on the focus has turned on bananas.
:banana::banana::banana:

I am curious about the next twists and turns

Haha…to be fair, palenty of social butterflies claim my kind of life is no life. Rude is in the eye of the beholder

As to the electronic banana signs topic, you never know …perhaps at next Monday’s Steinberg strategy meeting, someone will say…

“hey, that banana sign conversation on the forums made me think of something we could do with Cubendo a couple of versions from now…”

Which may lead to a Cubendo capability that revolutionizes everyone’s workflow to unbelievable heights.

You’re welcome

My bad. I like to chat.
:person_shrugging:

So do I…
And there’s also this glasshouse and throwing stones thingy
Nothing wrong with a little off-topic chat IMO

Man, going to Ralphs or Vons just to get a six pack and having to stand in line behind folks unloading a basket with 300 things sucks.. And our Ralph’s doesn’t have ‘Express lanes’ for 15 items or less. You either get stuff you can buy at the self-checkout, or you have to wait at one of the three registers that’s always open (the other 6 or 7 are NEVER staffed). I’m the same way, I’m not there to chat, give me my stuff so I can be in and out and back home where I want to be.
