Always thought the Halion Sonic Collection 7 was enough for me. But with the current sale the upgrade was too tempting. Wow… 10 minutes in and what difference! So many more possibilities.
But my question … I have all the Sonic Collection 7 content downloaded on an external SSD ( 35 Gb ). My new Halion 7.5 can see it. However, the Steinberg Download Assistant is showing that the Halion 7 content still needs to be downloaded. But it is the same content as I already have from the Sonic Collection right? So no need?
Don’t want to start a 30GB download just for it to ‘install’ over the top of the same data. Or perhaps skip the install because the files are already in place. Or even worse put a second copy on my local drive?
Anyone got thoughts?
