Upon loading an existing Project, No audio from Groove Agent 6 until I open the Instrument
PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Every time I load an existing Project that contains a MIDI track for drums/percussion AND the instrument is Groove Agent (V6), I get no audio (ie. sound) for the given drum/percussion track until I open GA.
Note; I DO hear audio from all of the other instruments (e.g. Halion, Retrologue, etc) without having to open that given instrument.
This behavior only occurs with GA-6. In fact the problem did NOT exist in previous versions of Groove Agent.
Once I open GA, I hear the audio from that given MIDI track. At this point, I can close GA6 and I will continue to hear the sounds as expected.
This problem started after the installation of Groove Agent 6. I have a PC and a Mac. The problem occurs on both platforms.
SUMMARY:
- Load an existing Cubase Project that contains one or more midi tracks assigned to Groove Agent (V6)
- Click “Play” to start the the sequence
- No audio is heard from ANY midi track assigned to GA6
- All other MIDI tracks assigned to other instruments (e.g. Halion, Retrologue, etc) work as expected.
- “Open” the GA6 plugin assigned to the given drum MIDI track. I now hear the audio from the GA6 component.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- I’m using Cubase 15 and Groove Agent 6. Both have been continuously updated as soon as Steinberg releases a new update.
- This problem started after the installation of Groove Agent 6.
- I can make a new project that contains a drum track assigned to GA6, and save that file. Upon loading that new project, the problem occurs (no audio from the GA6 track)
- I have a Windows-PC AND a new Mac-Studio (maxed out with CPU, memory, etc) - and the problem occurs on both platforms.
What changes are required to restore my system(s) to the previous behavior, where I hear the drum sound upon loading a saved project?
