Using Tempo Track

Hi everyone

I have created a Tempo track in Cubase 11 and all works well with the project slowing down towards the end as I want it to. However I want a part of one track to play at the original tempo and not follow or be effected by the Tempo track. Is there a way to do this in Cubase?

I believe if you set that track to linear time base it will not follow the tempo track but instead remain as you first recorded it. Here is the manuals explanation.

Hi, I tried your suggestion and changed the selected part of the track to linear mode but the part still follows the Tempo track and slows down which I don’t want it to do.

Thank you for your suggestion and I’ll keep trying to find a solution.

This seems to have been debated. Best answer I know if the linear thing isn’t working

If it’s an audio track, you might need to disable the Musical Mode of the audio file in the Pool:
