Is there a way to connect only the end of the system in the Vocal + Piano score, without connecting the middle of the vocal part?
Should I use the coordination line?

The option is applied, but it is not connected.
Are Soprano and Alto vocal staves?
How can I tell if it’s set as a vocal or an instrument?
I don’t know where it is.
I’m afraid it won’t work if you don’t want a bracket at the beginning of the systems (same problem as the one with double barlines that was discussed in this thread)
Is using the coordination line the best option?
An idea if you don’t need brackets elsewhere in your project.
You’ll get this:
Result:
Edit For some reason, you should set the last value (additional vertical protrusion…) to a small negative value like this:
Strangely, with the value of 0, you still have this:
With -1/8 it’s fine:
Layout Options > Brackets & Braces: Orchestral, but the brackets are not appearing.
Have you checked if there’s no bracket change at some point? (it was the first step in my description)
You can get there by clicking on the ellipsis of the instrument (not the player) in Setup Mode.
If this is an XML import it’s highly recommended to change the instruments to those Dorico knows rather than importing something and just change the names.
Thanks.
On the middle pages, in some parts additional vocals are needed and brackets are required, so in that situation the method you told me doesn’t really work, right? Some sections have brackets and some don’t. Is there a way to connect only the vocals at the end regardless of whether brackets are present or not?
Then I’m afraid you’ll have to use coordination lines, unless someone else finds a better solution.
