… it’s Friday again? Yes! Because a new 2.1.27 Pre-Release of VST Live is online. You can download it here. You also can find a Version History there. If you found new bugs or bugs which are not fixed, please create a new thread and title it with [2.1.27].

This version contains again new features

App : MTC Input
Yes, we are listening and MTC Input was added.

App : Time Display
… and a Global Time Display has been added. Can you load it here

** Lyrics : Shift Selection **
Yes, try it out

Modules : Media Play
It has now a Cycle control, it has more Actions, an VU Meter, a Video Port to get it connected to the Application Video Views and a Video Brightness control.

Modules : Show only needed Media Widgets

Yes, the Modules main view are cleaned up. Only need Media Ports are shown

I have PT generating MTC Via the IAC Bus to LIVE. (PT → LIVE = Not working)
Can’t see any MIDI input activity either…
Is there a toggle to setup LIVE for MTC accept?

Oddly, I can’t get LIVE to send MTC to PT also. (LIVE → PT = Not working)
Logic outputs MTC to PT just fine. (Logic → PT = Working)

Timecode window is buggy!

Haven’t try VL MTC Slave yet (as new function from yesterday), but sent MTC (also LTC) Out from VL a lot.

With LTC, app needs to toggle setting a 2-3 times to make it working (@musicullum do u have any hint to me?) but when it works it works correctly until app runs.

So @madsmix would suggest try toggle settings (nc), something-out, (nc), another-out but as far as I remember (used 2e ka ago) MTC doesnt needs this extra care.

First: Do u need LTC (linear timecode sent via audio conn) or MTC (MIDI timecode sent via MIDI conn) @madsmix ?

select a midi input for „MTC Input“, (nc) switches it off again.

If I am using another machine or master DAW to send MTC into VST Live. And I have setup VSTL to receive MTC on the correct MIDI input(physical or virtual), is there something to Toggle or activate External sync, so when it receives MTC, VSTL starts playing.
Eg. Cubase has (T) Activate External Sync. And so does Pro Tools.

No, setting the port activates MTC sync, setting to (nc) deactivates.

You know you need to enable both MTC Input and MTC Output in VST Live by setting the relevant ports in Preferences?

sorry, MTC-Input is not working for macOS! We are really sorry for that one. It’s fixed now and will be pushed to the next Pre-Release.

Every release is better and better than the last one! Thanks for solving the tracks losing inputs!! Works for copy/paste , I still have to check when switching audio devices with different numbers of physical in/out.

Meanwhile, I tried to add an automation track for a steinberg ping pong delay on a mixer channel (global stack mixer channel) on insert 2 … every parameter of automation track was ok but no response from the plug-in (tried with delay, feedback and mix parameters). The same plug-in on fx1 on the global stack and the same settings on automation track works no prob… just something on my side or you can confirm automation not working for mixer channels inserts? I’m on Win11
