Weird gliss. playback

Hello everyone!
I have an issue regarding glissando playback.
I want several glissandi to start in a certain rhythmic value, and to achieve that I did the workaround suggested here:

https://forums.steinberg.net/t/correct-gliss-start-point-entry/764403/2?u=lgg96

But for some reason, the playback does the glissando wider than it actually is. This does not happen when I “untie” the two voices. E. g.:
I have a whole note A (upstem voice) and two quavers with the glissando A - [gliss.] - G# (downstem voice).

When I tie the upstem voice with the downstem one, the gliss. plays approx. A - G natural (!). If I untie the notes, the glissando plays correctly A - G#. Why is this happening? Am I missing something?

Thank you!

I cannot post the whole project, but here you have two instances of what I mean:
Gliss. prova.dorico (521.2 KB)

yes, irrespective of library (correctly set up in the Expression Map and instrument) for gliss. in your example the interval is twice what it should be. I tried glissing a third and it went down a fifth. I have a feeling this has come up before and indeed it works fine provided you don’t tie the note immediately before the gliss.

Yes, I can fake the tie with a “laissez vibrer”, but I would prefer to know if there is something better to solve the problem…

To achieve correct playback of the glissando lines:

  • Select the notes and rests in your example that are in down-stem voice 1 and change them to up-stem voice 1.
  • Tie each half note to the following note.
  • Select the glissando lines and set the Delay property to 2 1/2. This will cause each glissando to begin 2 1/2 quarter notes after the tied note starts playing.

yes that’s one way but quite a workaround. I’d probably just renotate without the tie in a hidden staff for playback. The question is why does this happen in the first place?
