I saw in the below FR from @mat last year, and I wanted to follow up to see what is and isn’t controllable remotely in VariAudio.
I’m looking at buying a MIDI controller, and top on my list of things to control would be VariAudio (it’s so mouse-intensive!).
I see that “Correct Pitch” is a key command … so shouldn’t that be controllable remotely?
But “Straighten Curve” is not a key command, and neither are “Volume” or “Shift Formant”. From how I think I understand the manual, does that mean they are not controllable remotely?
If that is the case …
Are there any tips and tricks or workarounds to control at least “Volume” remotely (and can someone confirm please that "Straighten Pitch is controllable remotely)?
My understanding of the problem however is that some/many of the VariAudio tools are not present in the Key Command list, including as above: “Volume” and “Shift Formant”.
If they are not present in the Key Commands list, is it impossible to control them without a mouse ?
You could move your mouse cursor over one of the control, lock it to the AI Knob and then use the AI Knob. But only one control at time can be lucked to the AI Control.
That is good information, thank you, Martin. Unfortunately it still involves mousing to the control, which I’d like to replace with something else - MIDI controller, Qwerty keyboard arrows, etc.
I guess from your answers, it cannot be done, so I will put this as a feature request.
Hi, I’d like to hook in and add “Edit VariAudio” to the discussion.
I would love to have a Marco to open Sample Editor and automatically analyse the content of Audio file with VariAudio. Either I am blind or it’s not there (like Formant control etc). Bummer
