Who is musicullum ..?

Hi everyone,

It’s an honor and a pleasure for me to write this announcement.

We all know the user @musicullum — but who’s behind that name? It’s Charlie Steinberg.

I probably don’t need to add much more, but I’d like to share the following link with you. It really says it all:

2026 MIDI Association Lifetime Achievement Award

Thank you so much for everything you’ve done, Charlie.

Those are really nice words Micha, you have no idea what that means to me.

But it‘s easy to throw back the ball, as we say, because we would never have come that far without your invaluable help and work, which likely tributes more than mine to this project which we have guided for years. And thanks to all our users as well, we hope we can serve for a long time to come yet.

Congratulations. Consider my hat well and truly doffed.

Of course this begs the other question - who is Spork?

Congratulations Charlie Steinberg, a massive achievement, Steinberg has always been my favourite DAW.

Thankyou for all your Idea’s, Innovations, Countless Hours of coding, Cubase, VST Live and all other Steinberg products that we all love.

Finally the Midi guys give you the award. Well deserved, Charlie. Somehow I wished Werner would also be recognized.

Sporki, the way you announced this in the other thread had me believe something else had happpened and I was in shock for a moment. Please don’t do this again.

Charlie, all the best. Straight from the heart.

Are you going to be at Namm this week? I’m trying to calculate if I met you there when I exhibited at the 1988 show  Will be visiting the mma booth to see Pete etc & midi 2.0 stuff.

Fantastic contributions you’ve made to the creative world!!!

Congratulations! You are a legend! Thanks for being around here in the forum helping (I remember seeing your name here for a long time).

Congratulations, @musicullum! I’m very surprised by this revelation from @Spork! It’s a bit strange, mister Steinberg, dear musicullum  How will this affect communication?

I’m glad that my programmer’s nose (as a beta tester) made a little contribution to the development flow of VST Live.

For years I’m using almost all of your products (except VST Connect) and I don’t need anything else. This is the trust in Steinberg software.

THANK YOU!

Very cool. Congratulations and thanks for paving the way :folded_hands:

Congratulations Charlie, und Herzlichen Dank! I’ve been using Steinberg products since Pro24A (on the Amiga !)
