The problem is the latency spikes.

One frequent source of those are Nvidia GPU drivers. However, it appears that there’s a new version of Nvidia drivers that are much better behaved:

Here’s an article about the release of the latest graphics driver claiming to solve Latency Mon DPC spikes . Nvidia’s New GeForce Driver Claims to Fix DPC Latency Issues | Tom’s Hardware (tomshardware.com) After installing the new driver Nvidia are a lot further down the list of processes [stats dpc] And my DPC remains low with no spikes , even leaving it to run for half hour [mon]

p.s. I also stayed with Win10 on my new system for the time being.
