I often have the problem that I have to arrange pieces that contain a leap into a part that is in a different key. This can be a repeat whose first part is in a different key, for example, or a D.S. or D.C. leap of this kind.
Now I would like to write a key-change-warning at the end of the last bar before this leap in all parts (e.g. from D major to D minor). How does that work?
See if the suggestions in this recent thread work for you:
Here is a screenshot showing how I solved this problem with your advice. The problem: Now I can no longer change the final barline without destroying everything. In addition, this solution is unsatisfactory overall.
How did I manage that? I don’t know exactly. In any case, I can give you two tips: 1. select bar lines and then backspace to make them invisible. 2. click on rests and set their scaling factor to “0” to make them at least almost invisible.
Can you post the project here? Someone can probably get you something that looks better.
It’s even better to set the color opacity (Alpha channel on Windows) to zero.

Hi Asherber,
thank you for your answer!
Here is my project. I am very curious to see which solution you come up with.

I couldn’t figure out how to change the opacity of individual notes and rests on a Mac.
That’s at the beginning (far left) of the properties, clicking on the black square next to colour that is very difficult to see if you’re in dark mode…
Many thanks for this tip! It wasn’t that hard to see it in dark mode. Maybe the Dorico team has improved it. However, you have to click somewhere else to see the result.
Thank you for your efforts! I will use your solution. How did you do that?
Incidentally, I don’t find this solution ideal either, because with additional accidentals that warn of a key change - regardless of whether this occurs in a new line, on a new page, in a repeat, at D.S. or at D.C. - it has been standard practice for centuries, in my opinion, for these additional accidentals to be placed before the bar line and not after it, even if all other accidentals for keys are only placed after the bar line. Only in the Russian notation are all accidentals for keys always placed before the bar line.
I have therefore posted a corresponding feature request.
Exactly as detailed here.
