Can we re-order favourites or just rename them?
Will we see CC121 support in Cubase 10.5 macOS 10.14? And coming in 10.15?
Before switching to Cubase 10.5, I would like to know if it is now possible to lighten the interface and to further change the colors, to move away from the dark interface. I see on the videos, in the preferences: “custom colors”, is that it? No information is available.
Also: does volume automation (which visually shows the effect on the wave) make it possible to turn up the volume, not just to lower it (one of Cubase’s surprising weaknesses). OR: If the mini window for changing envelopes (such as the volume window) has been enlarged.
Thank you !
Crashes when loading my Cubase 10 projects…
Hi Matthias.
Congrats on the update, Can I ask if there are plans to keep adding keycommands (especially the ones we discussed un the keycommands suggestions thread) in 10.5 cycle or will they appear in Cubase 11?
I’ve read that you would implement a periodic enhancement policy and these little things like keycommands could be perfect for that.
Thank you for this new preference option. One that has been asked for a zillion times.
The new preference “Clicking Locator Range in Upper Part of the Ruler Activates Cycle” allows you to disable the function to activate/deactivate cycle mode when you click the locator range in the upper part of the ruler. See Transport.
Regards
just bought 2 update licenses. All good. But the decision to make the track names white on black with a sharp font is really bad from a visual / UI / Eye fatigue point of view.
- Font too sharp
- too much contrast as opposed to previous C10
- ugly too look at especially in lower lighting / evening conditions
I can see the need of having more contrast as to what channel is selected but this isnt good. Now I will have to workaround it using the notes to label my channels.
Please give us more customization or revert to previous situation. Thanks for checking out my remark!
Don’t s’pose they gave some love to the quantize panel so that a huge long unusable list no longer appears if you have a few groove quantize patterns saved off?
I agree. Looks very rough. I thought I had a graphics glitch, but it’s by design
Hi… Did you manage to find a version history? I would like it as well?
Thanks
I agree a 100%…
Disappointed that there weren’t any additional enhancements/fixes to ARA2. Maybe those are being saved for the final point release for version 10 along with a future 10.5 hotfix. I’m not impacted by the HDPi issues, but I’m also quite sure those 10.x users are looking forward to the non-100/200% scaling issues being resolved and must also be disappointed.
Anything special for us that purchased Padshop Pro in early days, I mean you should release full groove agent too then. Feels kind of stupid to buy your VSTi´s, when your gonna add it to DAW later anyway
Agree!
So far Cubase 10.5 has been great compared to previous versions. Also, enjoying the minor enhancements and features in 10.5.
Good job Steinberg!
The biggest complaint I have though and as many others, is the Mixer’s name labels having white text on a black background. It was the right move to do but Steinberg needs to find the perfect match that will not cause eye fatigue. I’m sure it will be worked out but I hope sooner than later.
Yes. Your special treat was that you got to use it for some years before now. Those who didn’t buy it separately didn’t get to use it until now and, still, only if they buy the update…
Matthias,
I hate to have to do this, but I really want to get someone, anyone’s eyes on this, since we CC121 owners have been screaming our heads off into an apparent void for literally years now with no one at Steinberg seeming to notice:
This device could be made so, so much more useful to us if you’d just appoint some engineers to read through the thread and make note of our suggestions, as you have with 10.5 (which I just bought and installed, by the way… you know what put me over the edge? Hot keys for snap on/off and acoustic feedback on/off!)
Please, at long, long last, show the CC121 some love, Steinberg! The acceleration curves just kill it for me, and I want to love it! I use the VSTi GUI open/close button by far more than anything else. This could be so, so much more useful and you could sell a lot more of them with some simple software changes!
Were there any bug fixes? I didn’t see any in the release notes?
Has the ”Variaudio graphics out of sync”-bug been fixed?
Is ARA2 now fully functioning? It has been quite buggy and unstable for me.
Tbh, I don’t really care about new features unless the old ones are working properly.
Early days, but I’m really happy with this update. The video rendering is excellent. I’m also enjoying the mixer colour enhancements.
Well done Steinberg.
I think steinberg never releases the bugs fixes history in a .0 and .5 release. I could be wrong but have never seen one.
